Who We Are
New Hope and Vision Investments (NHVI) is a company founded on September 2016. Our Organization focuses on empowerment and development of groups that substantially targets vulnerable marginalized groups, common interest groups which 75 percent comprises of women and youth in rural areas.
We utilize Village Savings and Loan Association (VSLA) (which forms a crux and gist entry point) with a group of people (between 15-25), who come together with a purpose of making savings and taking small loans from those savings. After a certain period the accumulated savings and the loan profits are distributed back to members and Agribusiness Product Value Chain (APVC) models.
Membership
We foster the interests of approximately over 15,000 members comprising of 890 groups representing 70% Women, 20% Youth and 10% PWLDs and others spreading across rural areas in Kenya.
The VSLA and APVC models utilized are geared towards social-economic and environmental inclusivity, enhancement of livelihood systems, food security, development of local context specific entrepreneurial and employment opportunities, promoting the imperative of climate smart local technologies, innovations and best management in the rural areas, drugs and substance abuse facilitating productive linkage formations to market, financial institutions, sector actors, TIMPs, development partners, projects and programs, county and national governments, targeted capacity building on financial management, organization development, livelihood systems, entrepreneurship.
The company secretariat is based at MERU Baibutu Biulding, Moi Avenue Street, Meru County, With branches in Embu, Nyeri, Maua, Nanyuki and upcoming offices in Tharaka Nithi and Isiolo.
